With a large choice of traditional English food, our philosophy is straight forward: simple, fresh, home-made and wholesome food presented in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and offered at affordable prices. For example, home made soups and pates, a comprehensive selection of meat, including steaks, lamb, duck and chicken, home-made fish cakes and burgers, and a range of delicious puddings, including treacle tart, chocolate tart and meringues.

Thorverton Arms Pie and Pastry Club
The Thorverton Arms launched its Pie and Pastry Club in March 2008. As a member of this club you receive a personal invitation to our monthly Pie and Pastry evenings where you get the opportunity to sample a selection of home-made pies and pastries for just £10 per person. At the end of the evening you cast your vote for the Pie and Pastry of the Month and you can then get the recipes. All club members also receive a free glass of wine with each meal.
