A warm welcome awaits you at the Thorverton Arms, a former coaching inn in the centre of the beautiful village of Thorverton in mid Devon. We are in the heart of the English countryside and yet only seven miles from Exeter (handy for the University) and eight miles from the local town of Tiverton, making us the ideal touring base for the north and south Devon beaches, Exmoor and Dartmoor. Many cyclists and walkers visit us, some en route from Land's End to John o'Groats, others exploring the Exe Valley Way or other local footpaths. We welcome dogs, both in the bar and to stay overnight, and also families with children of any age.

The Thorverton Arms has a welcoming bar with a real fire in the winter; you will find a large selection of traditional cask ales, ciders, wines, spirits and interesting non-alcoholic drinks. There is also a separate dining area where we serve home-made dishes using local ingredients whenever we can, a large south-facing patio and garden, six very comfortable en-suite bedrooms and a car park.
